Online Candidate History

We built our first campaign website in 2003 for a local candidate. The site was successful and had an impact on the campaign. The site helped raise issue awareness, and it forced the opponent to spend (lots of) money on a competing site. In the end, though, our candidate won!

The success with that campaign gave us the idea of using our web skills to help other local candidates. Most local campaigns don’t have a lot of money, so Online Candidate was envisioned as a solution to allow campaigns to build and update thier own sites. But the key was to make the sites not look like cheap ‘turnkey’ websites you find with other website building platforms. Our custom templating and support makes the difference.

More recently, we've added a number of affordable digital products to assist local campaigns, including our Campaign Letter Templates, the Campaign Slogan E-book, and our Running for Office as an Online Candidate handbook.
